Portugal pricing guide
Most families travelling to mainland Portugal will choose to self-drive. Ask us about other options if you would prefer private transfers.
As a general guideline, a two-week itinerary for a family of four will cost from around £6,000 including accommodation, car hire and a range of activities. If you want to upgrade accommodation, prices will start from around £7,500 for a family of four.
A short break to the island of Madeira for a family of four usually costs from £4,600 plus flights, depending on the accommodation, with flights from £125 per person.
The Azores are more expensive, partly because itineraries here tend to be packed with activities and require a guide, equipment and transport. An 8-day itinerary for a family of four will start from around £5,500 outside the summer holidays. During the summer, the price will start from £7,000 but if you include a wide range of different activities, may be closer to £8,500. We are always happy to tailor our suggestions to your budget
All prices exclude international flights, which start from £200pp during school holidays. Flight prices at other times can be extremely cheap, sometimes as low as £50pp.
Many of the main flight routes to Portugal from the UK are operated by budget airlines that operate flexible pricing policies. Generally the earlier you book, the better. Most will operate for the summer season but may stop over the winter.
