Botswana Highlights & Vic Falls (8 Days) day-by-day itinerary
Touch down in the quaint town of Victoria Falls on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River. This is renowned as the adventure hub of Africa and is home to one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World – the Falls themselves. True to its local moniker ‘Mosi-oa-Tunya’ (‘The smoke that thunders’), there’s an ever-present rumble from the vast volumes of tumbling water and plumes of mist rising high into the skies.
Take to the water above the Falls in the late afternoon for an iconic Zambezi sunset cruise and to spot the first of your big African wildlife – hippos and crocodiles basking on the banks.
Day 2, Victoria Falls
Embrace an early start to explore the majestic Falls. Dawn unveils a spectacular sunrise as the mists from the waters thundering down into the canyons dance in the morning light. Beat the crowds and enjoy that the kids have got up and been showered without even realising it – and by one of the world’s greatest natural sights!
Return for a hearty breakfast before enjoying the rest of the day exploring one or more of the array of adventure activities on offer. These include world-renowned bungee-jumping and zip-lining to white-water rafting, horse riding or fishing. You could also take a scenic helicopter ride over the Falls or delve into local culture through village and craft market visits.
Day 3, Victoria Falls – Chobe National Park
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before your private transfer whisks you across the border to Kasane in Botswana. After a journey of a couple of hours from Victoria Falls, settle into your tranquil lodge ready to explore Chobe National Park.
As the afternoon draws in, embark on the exhilaration of your first game drive or river cruise in this iconic wildlife area. There is an elephant population of 40,000, and you’ll all be in awe as these gentle giants play in the water and, ears flapping gently, cross flood plains and sandy expanses.
Chobe National Park comprises four distinct ecosystems: the breath-taking Chobe floodplain and river to the northeast, the captivating Savute Marsh in the west, the enchanting Linyanti Swamps in the northwest, and nestled in-between, the hot, arid hinterland of Nogatsaa and Tchinga.
Day 4, Chobe National Park

With high concentrations of lion, leopard, spotted hyena and cheetah, the safari experience reaches its zenith here, against a backdrop of rare and elusive antelope species such as roan, sable, tsessebe, eland and red lechwe. Come the dry season (June-October) the floodplains are even more alive thanks to massive herds of Cape buffalo.

Begin your day with a short transfer to Kasane Airport, setting the stage for an aerial adventure aboard a light aircraft bound for the Okavango Delta. As you soar above the diverse landscapes, you’ll catch hints of the incredible experiences awaiting you over the next three nights.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Delta is a mesmerising labyrinth of lagoons, lakes and concealed channels, nourished annually by the seasonal flood from the Angola Highlands.
