Ecuador and Galapagos

Ecuador and Galapagos pricing guide

All our holidays are individual and tailored for you and your family. The exact price of your tour will vary depending on a wide range of factors including how many of you there are, what level of hotels you want to stay in and whether you stay in one large family room or have children and adults in separate rooms.

Price guidelines

To give you a guideline, a two-week holiday for a family of four to mainland Ecuador (not including the Galapagos) would usually cost a minimum of around £10,000 (excluding international flights) based on comfortable hotels and including most activities and some meals.

Visiting the Galapagos is expensive and there is no avoiding this. A two-week holiday for a family of four, including a five day (four night) cruise, with the rest of the time spent in mainland Ecuador, will cost from £24,000 (excluding internal and international flights). In addition to this, you will need to pay a Galapagos park entry fee locally ($200 per adult, $100 per child) and internal flights to and from Quito (£450 per adult, £350 per child).

International flights

All prices exclude international flights. These start from £1,100 per person to Quito with a stopover as there are no direct flights from the UK. If visiting the Galapagos you will also need flights to the islands from Quito, which cost around £450 per adult (£350 per child). We will be very happy to provide a flight quote for the full itinerary from your nearest airport. Please get in touch to ask us for details.

Age limits

We don’t impose any age limits but will discuss what will work best for your family. In mainland Ecuador this will mean taking into consideration the altitude and ensuring that there is time for acclimatisation. In the Galapagos, families with younger children may want to consider a land-based tour as most boats have a minimum age. Just let us know your requirements and we can discuss all the options with you.

Financial protection

Rest assured that you have 100% financial protection if you book with Stubborn Mule Travel. This is guaranteed through our membership of the Travel Trust Association (membership number Q0176) and our ATOL membership (number T7608). Further details can be found on our Financial Protection page.

All you need to do is let us know a few key details about you and your family and we will do the rest. After a chat to understand more about you, we can produce an itinerary as a starting point and you can review this as many times as you need to until we get it just right.
