Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka pricing guide

All our holidays are individual and tailored for you and your family. The exact price of your trip will vary depending on a wide range of factors including how many of you there are, when you want to travel, what level of hotels you want to stay in and whether you stay in one large family room or have children and adults in separate rooms.

Price guidelines

We like our tours to be accessible to as wide a range of people as possible.

Our standard Sri Lanka holidays will start from around £15,500 for a two week holiday for a family of four based on two rooms in lovely mid-range boutique hotels (usually with pools) and a high quality safari lodge experience for two nights in Yala. Supplements (which may be quite significant) will apply for travel over Christmas and the New Year. This excludes international flights.

There are also many gorgeous higher-end hotels throughout the country. If you would prefer to stay in these, the price will typically increase to from £17,000  and upwards (for a two-week holiday for a family of four, excluding flights).

If you are travelling on a tighter budget, we can either reduce the safari to one night, or switch the safari lodge, and also use more simple accommodation elsewhere, which may be able to bring the price down closer to £12,000 (for a two-week holiday for a family of four).

International flights

All prices exclude international flights. These start from £800 per person with a stopover and £1,000 per person direct from London. We will be very happy to provide a flight quote for you from your nearest airport. Please ask us for details.

Flights are available for booking approximately 11 months in advance. If travelling during UK school holidays we suggest that you book your flights as far in advance as possible to get the best fares. Prices will rise considerably the closer to departure that you book.

Age limits

We don’t impose any age limits although we will be honest with you about what we think is best for your family. Some activities such a safaris may have age restrictions.

Financial protection

Rest assured that you have 100% financial protection if you book with Stubborn Mule Travel. This is guaranteed through our membership of the Travel Trust Association (membership number Q0176) and our ATOL membership (number T7608). Further details can be found on our Financial Protection page.
