When to go to Egypt
Egypt is hot for most of the year (and very hot from June to September), with very little rain – only in December and January does it get a bit cooler in Cairo and the North of the country. You can visit for a family holiday at any time. If you are travelling in the middle of summer, however, we would advise you to do your sightseeing in the early morning / late afternoon so that you can avoid the heat of the day. Embrace the siesta!

However it is a dry heat so as long as you don’t try to do too much sightseeing in the middle of the day, this is still a good time to visit.
