Portugal itineraries
A family adventure to Portugal offers exciting activities and plenty of beachtime. An active family may want to include hiking, biking, kayaking, swimming in waterfalls, canyoning and even wild beach camping. Others may want a more relaxed break, with ample time for lazy lunches.
We have created three sample Portugal itineraries. The first concentrates on the mainland from Lisbon, the second in the Azores on Sao Miguel (the largest of the islands), and the third is a centre-based trip on the deservedly popular island of Madeira (great for all year-round holidays).
15 Days
Visit Lisbon, Sintra, Arrabida, beach wild camping, Alentejo, and beach
From £2,375 per person
Plus international flights starting at £200
8 Days
Visit Ponta Delgada, Whale-watching, Swimming with dolphins, Sete Cidades, Furna, Lagoa do Fogo
From £2,125 per person
Plus international flights starting at £200
6 Days
Visit Funchal & activities around the island
From £1,300 per person
Plus international flights from £125
These are just a starting point and can be tweaked to suit your family. For example, you might want to visit the Azores but also have time on mainland beaches afterwards. Or you may fancy some island hopping between Sao Miguel, Faial and Pico. If you are travelling outside of the summer season, you might want to replace days on the beach with activities. As soon as you are ready to start planning your trip, or if you’d like to talk with someone with first-hand knowledge, do get in touch.
