Peru pricing guide
All our holidays are individual and will be tailored for you and your family. The exact price will depend on how many of you there are, when you are travelling, the kind of accommodation that you are looking for and so on. However, we have given an indication of approximate prices below. Prices for children will vary according to age and whether they are in their own room or sharing with the adults.
Price guidelines
Peru is such a large country that most itineraries will require a number of internal flights which are quite expensive. As a result this is not a cheap destination.
As a guideline, our standard Peru itineraries will start from around £15,000 for a two week holiday for a family of four based on mid-range hotels. This excludes international flights but includes domestic ones.
Peru also has a number of gorgeous boutique hotels in converted monasteries or other beautiful heritage buildings. If you would like to stay in these, the price will start from around £19,000 for a two-week holiday for a family of four.
If you would like to combine two of South America’s most iconic countries – Peru and the Galapagos Islands – an 18-day holiday in Peru and the Galapagos for a family of four usually costs a minimum of £28,000, based on mid-range hotels (excluding internal and international flights).
We like our tours to be accessible to as wide a range of people as possible and if you are travelling on a tighter budget there are a number of things we can do to help bring the price down. This will include having some free time to explore on your own without a guide, using more simple hotels and at times joining other people for some excursions. With these measures, we may be able to bring the price down closer to £12,000 for a two week holiday for a family of four. Please ask us for details.
International flights
All prices exclude international flights. These usually cost from £850pp.
We will be very happy to provide a flight quote for you from your nearest airport. Please ask us for details.
Flights are available for booking approximately 11 months in advance. If travelling during UK school holidays we suggest that you book your flights as far in advance as possible to get the best fares. Prices will rise considerably the closer to departure that you book.
Age limits
There are no age limits on any of our tours. However, we will be particularly mindful of the ages of your children when creating an itinerary for Peru because of the altitude. Generally we advise a few days in the Sacred Valley (which is under 3,000m) before visiting Cusco or Lake Titicaca both of which are considerably higher. This allows time to adjust and minimises the risk of altitude sickness.
Financial protection
Rest assured that you have 100% financial protection if you book with Stubborn Mule Travel. This is guaranteed through our membership of the Travel Trust Association (membership number Q0176) and our ATOL membership (number T7608). Further details can be found on our Financial Protection page.
