Australia

Australia itineraries

If you are going to fly across to the very other side of the world, you have to be absolutely sure to make it worthwhile. What this means in practice will vary from one family to another; for some, especially first time visitors, the cities and beaches of the east coast will keep everyone happy. For others, a trip to Oz is not complete without incorporating the rugged beauty of the Red Centre or the Crocodile Dundee landscapes of Kakadu.

A key factor will be the time of year that you are travelling. If travelling at Christmas or Easter, concentrate on the southern half of the country as in our East Coast Explorer – Sydney to Brisbane sample itinerary. Perth and South Australia are also great at this time of year. However, if travelling in July and August, you want to head to the northern half of Australia, including Kakadu, Uluru and Cairns as on our Highlights of Australia – Outback & Beyond sample itinerary.
