Tanzania itineraries
Tanzania offers some of the finest game viewing in Africa – after all, the Serengeti is synonymous with the classic East African safari. However, it is essential that the children don’t get game drive overload, so we usually incorporate a variety of exciting activities; think biking through banana plantations, canoeing past giraffes, and meeting the bushmen.
Then head to the fabled spice island of Zanzibar for world-class beaches and the ancient streets of Stone Town. Our Tanzania Safari and Beach incorporates all of these highlights in just two weeks.
For active families in search of a challenge, how about considering an ascent of the highest peak in Africa on our Kilimanjaro Family Climb. We follow the quieter, slower Lemosho route to the 5,895m summit, maximising the chances of success and avoiding the crowds on other trails. Whilst this can be a stand-alone, post GCSE type trip, we strongly advise combining it with a safari or the beach to make the most out of your time in Tanzania.
