Tanzania itineraries

Tanzania offers some of the finest game viewing in Africa, made all the more appealing by the dramatic landscapes that form the backdrop to any safari. There are also a number of exciting activities that you can combine with the safari so that the children don’t get game-drive overload; think cycling, climbing extinct volcanoes and meeting the bushmen.

Towards the end of your tour, head to the fabled spice island of Zanzibar. This is home to world-class beaches and the enticing twisting streets of Stone Town, dotted with former palaces and Arab mansions dating back to the island’s heyday. Our Tanzania Safari and Beach incorporates all of these highlights in just two weeks.

For active families in search of a challenge, how about considering an ascent of the highest peak in Africa, the towering Mount Kilimanjaro. Our Kilimanjaro Family Climb takes the quieter, slower Lemosho route to the 5,895m summit, maximising the chances of success. This can be combined with a safari or the beach.
