Japan

Japan pricing guide

All our holidays are individual and tailored for you and your family. The exact price of your tour will vary depending on a wide range of factors including how many of you there are, what level of hotels you want to stay in and whether you stay in one large family room or have children and adults in separate rooms.

Price guidelines

There’s no two ways about it, Japan is expensive. To give you a guideline, a two-week holiday for a family of four to Japan would usually cost start from around £16,000 (excluding international flights). This is based on mid-range accommodation which will be scrupulously clean but not luxurious, and a couple of nights in a ryokan. You will have a couple of guided tours but much of the trip will be self-guided using our comprehensive and detailed trip notes.

If you want to stay in more upscale hotels, include more experiences, or be escorted by guides more frequently, the price increases substantially and a two-week holiday would start at around £20,000 (excluding international flights).

Note that for travel during cherry blossom season, which typically coincides with the Easter holidays, prices rise sharply and a two-week holiday for a family of four would cost from a minimum of £18,000 and upwards. Please discuss with us as to the best way to manage costs at this time. Many accommodations and activities sell out well in advance so we strongly recommend you book as early as you possibly can. The same applies, to a lesser extent, for travel in October half term, when the autumn leaves are at their most spectacular.

International flights

All prices exclude international flights. These start from £1,000 per person. We will be very happy to provide a flight quote for you from your nearest airport. Please ask us for details.
