Namibia itineraries

Namibia is a huge country and although it is tempting to try to fit everything in to one trip, this can mean too much driving for those with younger children. When creating an itinerary for you we will discuss what is suitable and will give you the driving times from one place to another. This way you can ensure that any itinerary will work for your family. Hopefully this will reduce the likelihood of the dreaded ‘are we nearly there yet?’.

As the name suggests, our Highlights of Namibia example itinerary includes the main attractions of the country, from the vast dunes of Sossusvlei in the south to the wildlife-filled saltpans of Etosha in the north. Those with younger children will probably find that this means too much driving so may want to concentrate just on the north. Our Northern Namibia example itinerary focuses on this part of the country to give you an idea of how this can work. It still includes a wide variety of different landscapes as well as superb wildlife, but there will be less driving.

The vast majority of our clients choose to self-drive in Namibia as the excellent network of well-signposted roads make this the ideal road-trip destination. It may be possible to arrange an English speaking driver instead, but this will add very significantly to the cost of the trip.
