South Africa Itineraries
South Africa is a really fantastic country for families with a great mix of safari, activities and beaches – at more accessible prices than other destinations in Africa. Being a vast country, with opposing seasons to Europe, it is sometimes difficult to know where to start – which is where we come in! Our most popular trip, the ‘Classic Cape & Garden Route’, follows a malaria-free route along the coast from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth, with a great variety of wildlife and adventure activities available along the way. Best suited October-April.
Our ‘Kruger & Beach Family Safari’ starts in the north, with the world famous Kruger National Park, before heading south through Eswatini (Swaziland) and into KwaZulu Natal to Durban. This itinerary is suitable all year round. Note that Kruger is in a malarial region.
There is some wonderful accommodation in South Africa, including some really fabulous luxury game lodges and beach hotels. Our ‘KwaZulu Natal and Eswatini (Luxury)’ itinerary showcases some of our favourites and offers a winning combination of safari and beach.
