Kenya is wonderful for both safaris and beach, so our holidays here will almost always include a mix of the two. In our view, it is essential to include plenty of non-vehicle-based activities to keep the children engaged. Our sample itineraries therefore may include bike riding, learning to track game, making a bow and arrow, swimming in rivers and so on.
Pricing in Kenya varies dramatically depending on the nature of the accommodation; the more remote you go, the more expensive it is. Our Highlights of Kenya is an excellent option for most families, taking in the safari highlights and combining this with time on the beach.
If you have a more generous budget, we suggest more remote camps in the far north of the country and in the private conservancies surrounding the Masai Mara. These offer an exclusive wildlife experience, as on our Kenya – Out of Africa itinerary.
