Peru family itineraries
Peru is a vast country that stretches from the Pacific coast to the lush jungles of the Amazon and the high snow-capped Andes mountains. It is usually any family’s first experience of South America – with Machu Picchu being the main draw. Our Highlights of Peru (2 weeks) includes all the key locations as well as some really fun activities and Peru In-Depth (3 weeks) adds in Lake Titicaca and the Colca Canyon.
Active families might want to trek the 4-day Inca Trail (or the One Day Inca Express) and increasingly popular, is our Peru & Galapagos Explorer. Here you can combine the Amazon and Machu Picchu with the astonishing wildlife of Ecuador’s Galapagos Islands, snorkelling with sea lions and swimming with penguins.

We know it is important to allow time to acclimatise – hence staying in the Sacred Valley before Cusco. We will also discuss options such as taking the luxurious train ride or the more economical tourist bus across the Altiplano from Cusco to Lake Titicaca. We can include R&R on the coast at Paracas where you can also view Ballestas Islands wildlife and the mysterious Nazca Lines or you could cross into Bolivia and head to La Paz and the incredible Uyuni Saltflats. Peru is one of our favourite destinations so we will be able to advise what will suit your family – just get in touch.
